Try these tests to check if an opportunity from a friend or family member is a scam:

  1. Is there a product of service?
  2. Are commissions paid on sale of products and not registration of new member, entry fees, or licenses?
  3. Is the intent to sell a product, not a position?
  4. Is there no direct correlation between recruits (new member) and compensation?
  5. If recruitment were to stop today, will the participants still make money?
  6. Is there a reasonable return policy?
  7. Do the products/services have fair market value?
  8. Is there a compelling reason to buy?

If you answered NO to one or more of the question above, there is a chance your are looking at a scam.
