FROM Walkman to a Toyota Corolla Altis. IT auditor Kevin Leng, from Damansara first won a walkman 10 years ago when he took part in a contest.

Now Leng, 23, has won himself the Toyota Altis 1.6 Auto after emerging the grand prize winner of the Spot the Avanza contest.

“I would have been happy to walk away with the Avanza or even the Vios but this is a real surprise,” he said after receiving the keys to the car during a prize-giving ceremony held at UMW Toyota’s headquarters in Section 15, Shah Alam.

“I hope Toyota will allow me to trade-in the car for a Camry,” he said, adding that he took part in the contest after buying a Toyota Vios three months ago.

UMW Motor Sdn Bhd executive director Aminar Rashid Salleh said in line with this year’s 49th National Day celebration, a total of 49 prizes were given away.
