Tips to help you win:
The photo must show an ASEAN destination and the content of the photo needs to show where you would go and what you would do on ‘a quick getaway’, for example an escape to the beach, a shopping paradise or a haven for relaxation. Make sure it’s a photo that you have captured. As for the caption, it should complement the content of the photo in a funny, witty or interesting way.

Terms & Conditions For Malaysia Airlines "Let's Go Now!" Contest

This contest is open to all Malaysian residents aged eighteen (18) years and above, except for employees of Malaysia Airlines, its affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, dealers as well as its advertising, creative, media, digital, design and other creative agencies and their immediate family members. This exception also applies to employees of The Star, its affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors and their immediate family members.
By participating in this contest, participants agree to be bound by the official rules and regulations of the contest and agree that decisions made by Malaysia Airlines are final and conclusive. No queries whatsoever will be entertained.
How to enter:
The Malaysia Airlines Let’s Go Now! Contest is based on a specific destination and theme. There are six (6) waves in the contest and each wave shall be published in The Star newspaper and on The Star website: www.thestar.com.my every three weeks commencing on 11th April 2009 until 20 August 2009. Destinations and themes change with each wave of the contest.
Based on the specified destination and theme, participants are required to submit a photograph which best showcases the destination and theme. The photograph MUST be accompanied by the following:
A caption of the participant’s three (3) most exciting experiences at the specified destination. The caption should not exceed fifty (50) words.
The participant’s full name (as per IC), IC number, daytime telephone contact number, e-mail address and mailing address.
Entries should be submitted via thestar.com.my/letsgonowmh, and must be received by the specified closing date as advertised for each wave. Postal entries will not be accepted.
Only one (1) entry per wave is allowed per person. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
Entries must be labelled with the participant’s name, contest name, theme and destination. Image files must be 72 dpi and between 1MB and 3MB.
All photographs submitted must be the work of the individuals submitting them and must not have been published elsewhere. It is the responsibility of each participant to ensure that any images he or she submits has been taken with the permission of the subject and does not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws. Participants warrant that the photographs they submit are their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
Copyright of all images submitted for this competition remain with the respective participants. However, in consideration of their providing the image for the contest, each participant grants a worldwide, irrevocable and perpetual license to Malaysia Airlines to feature any or all of the submitted images in any of their publications, websites and/or in any promotional materials connected to this contest.
Malaysia Airlines shall at its sole and absolute decision shortlist five (5) entries based on the following criteria : visually appealing, creative, original and accompanied by an interesting and well-described caption.
The photographs and captions for the shortlisted five (5) entries will be published in The Star newspaper within two (2) weeks of the specified closing date for that particular wave. Readers of the Star will be invited to vote on any of the shortlisted entries, by submitting their votes on the website: thestar.com.my/letsgonowmh. Each reader will be entitled to one (1) vote for that particular wave.
Closing date for the readers to vote on any favorite entries is one (1) week after the top five (5) shortlisted entries are announced in The STAR newspaper.
One (1) winner will be selected for each wave of the contest based on the highest votes received from readers of The Star newspaper for that particular wave. The announcement of the winner will be made on STAR newspaper and www.thestar.com All winners will be notified via email on a best effort basis. Winners must confirm receipt of the email notification of their win from Malaysia Airlines by replying via email to the same Malaysia Airlines' address or as notified by Malaysia Airlines within fourteen (14) days from the date of receipt of the email notification.
Upon receiving the requisite confirmation from the winner, Malaysia Airlines will issue an official letter of award for winning that particular wave of the contest to the winner.
In the event that the winner does not revert to Malaysia Airlines within the stipulated time period, Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to withdraw the prizes from the winner without any notification to the winner.
Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the contest without any prior notice. For the avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, termination or suspension by Malaysia Airlines of the contest shall not entitle the participant to any claim or compensation against Malaysia Airlines for any and all losses or damages which may be suffered or incurred by the participant as a direct or an indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
Malaysia Airlines is entitled to use, publish or feature the winners and/or their picture for publicity and advertising purposes. Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to delay the timing of the publication of the winners of the contest. All information provided will be kept strictly private and confidential.
Winners are fully responsible for any injuries, damages or claims as a result of their participation in the contest, usage of their prizes and/or collection of their prizes. Malaysia Airlines accepts no responsibility for lost, misdirected, illegible, late, mutilated or altered entries. Entries that do not comply with these terms and conditions will be disqualified.
Malaysia Airlines shall not be liable for any disruption to the contest, whether due to technical problems or otherwise, which is beyond its reasonable control. In the event of disruption to the contest, reasonable effort shall be used to remedy the disruption and resume the contest on a fair and equitable basis to the participants.
By entering this contest, participants unconditionally and irrevocably agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Any breach of the terms and conditions may, at Malaysia Airlines' absolute discretion, result in forfeiture of any prize.
Malaysia Airlines reserves the right at its absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of these terms and conditions without any prior notice. These terms and conditions will prevail over any inconsistent terms, conditions, provisions or representations contained in any other promotional materials advertising the contest.
In the event of any inconsistency, conflict, ambiguity or discrepancy between the English version and the Bahasa Malaysia version of these terms and conditions, the English version of these terms and conditions shall prevail.
All prizes cannot be exchanged in full, or partially for cash or other equivalents.
Malaysia Airlines reserves the right to replace the prizes with items of similar value in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Any winner will also be eligible for RM1,500.00 cash credit if they are a MasterCard credit card holder. If the winner had purchased Malaysia Airlines’ product in the last twelve Airlines’ months’ in the sum exceeding RM1,000.00, the cash credit will be doubled to RM3,000.00 The winner is required to submit documentary proof in the form of monthly statement or transaction slip.

The prize for each wave includes:

Return airfare on Economy Class on Malaysia Airlines for [2] person(s)
Hotel accommodation with daily breakfast for [2] person(s) on twin sharing basis. Hotel selection will be done at Malaysia Airlines’ discretion.
Return airport transfer at Malaysia Airlines’ discretion.
Airport taxes, insurance, fuel surcharges will be borne by Malaysia Airlines.
Excess baggage charges or any airport user fees which may be applicable at the specific destinations will be borne by the passengers.
The package is valid for six (6) months from the date of announcement of the winner in The Star newspaper.
The package cannot be exchanged or sold for cash and is non-transferable to another person.
The prizes cannot be utilized during public holidays, school holidays and hotel or airlines’ blackout dates. Actual dates for travel will be duly confirmed by Malaysia based on availability.
Whenever a winner is ready to utilize the package, the following procedure is applicable:
