Three lucky Grand Prize winners of Maybank’s "Just 3 to Win" Campaign today received their prize reward of RM111,111 each at a special ceremony held at Menara Maybank.
"This is a fantastic surprise. Besides being successful in my application for Premier Personal Accident, I never thought I would win something. I am happy Maybank is giving other additional rewards to customers," said Encik Mohd Nurhisham bin Tokiran, aged 22 from Yong Peng, Johor, one of the Grand Prize winners.
The other two Grand Prize winners were Mr Phuah Ping Twan, aged 64 from Kg. Bahru, Penang and Cik Sarina bt Mohd Anayath, aged 35, from Rawang, Selangor. They also expressed surprise and thanked Maybank for offering them an opportunity to win attractive prizes while purchasing the products offered.
The Grand Prize winners received their cash reward from Encik Ismail Mohd Yusof, Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Marketing of Maybank. Family members of the prize winners were also present at the ceremony.
The "Just 3 to Win" campaign was held from March 03 to June 03, 2005. The campaign offered attractive promotions of a range of products namely home financing, automobile financing, credit cards, investment and insurance plans. Customers who purchased the products during the period, including new products launched during the campaign period, namely investment plans and Islamic home loan package were eligible to participate in the contest.
The campaign offered a total prize money of RM603,333. Three consolation prizes of RM3,000 each were offered every three days with winners receiving their prizes after each contest date. For the consolation prizes, customers had to answer three questions and submit the most creative signature. For the Grand Prize winners, customers had to provide the number of "Just 3 to Win" entries received during the campaign period. The names of winners were also announced on www.maybank2u.com.
"We thank all our customers for their support and participation in the campaign. The campaign was part of our initiative to create greater awareness to customers of the range of products and services that are able to meet their varied needs. The reward is part of the enhanced benefit to our customers as well as in appreciation of their support," said Encik Ismail.
"We were overwhelmed by the interest shown on the products offered. The campaign received more than 1.5 million entries for the contest. The 3-month campaign had generated a total sales value of over RM2.5 billion which is a 31% increase of the sales value as compared to the normal non-campaign period. We are happy that this campaign has enabled us to reach to different segments of our customers and that our range of products and services are able to meeting customer’s needs and expectations," added Encik Ismail.
Encik Ismail said that Maybank will continue to introduce exciting campaigns to reward its customers as well as create greater awareness of the range of products and services for their various needs.
